Atmosphere: On December the 6th, the FKCCI was glad to welcome more than 700 guests for its Gala 2008 for an exquisite Nuit en Provence between orchards of olive trees and purple lavender rows thanks to breath-taking decorations created by the D.P.L.G Architect D.P.Jalicon. 

Cocktail: In this sumptuous atmosphere, guests were greeted with Champagne and Provencal style cocktail...

Dinner: The cocktail was followed by a sumptuous five-course gourmet Provencal dinner...A lots of surprises awaited the guests: luxurious gifts offered to all of them by our exceptional partners «theplace» (더플레이스), les Olivades, and to all women by L’Oréal.

Entertainment: Great prizes were offered by our generous sponsors. The FKCCI offered to its guests the world premiere showcase of the new 2009 French musical "Mozart, the Rock Opera" produced by Albert Cohen and Dove Attia, producers of “The Ten Commandments” (“레 딕스“) and “The Sun King. In the presence of one of the producer Mr. Albert Cohen, the main singers Mikelangelo Loconte, Florent Mothe, Claire Pérot, Solal, sang selected songs switching from classical music to pop rock tunes and offered unforgettable Gala to FKCCI guests almost one year before the premiere in Paris. 

The evening was the occasion for the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry to help children with leukemia waiting for bone-marrow transplant with a donation of KRW 10,000,000 to the Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, close to the Seorae Maeul district, well-known for gathering the French community in Seoul.

2008.11.27 - Hangang Renaissance Project
This luncheon presented the master plan of the Hangang River in Seoul by M. Kim Chan-Gon, Assistant Mayor, Hangang Project Headquarters. Introduction made by Mr. Chae Soo-Kim, Head of Investment Promotion Bureau for Busan.

2008.11.12 - Adaptable Human Solutions
This breakfast meeting with Mrs. Noreen Jaden, CEO, and Mrs. Caroline Jarry, Consultant, at Adaptable Human Solutions, teached "how coaching can help to manage an inter/multicultural environment".

The FKCCI organized a breakfast meeting with Pr. Christian de Boissieu, one of the best French economists, to review the trends and prospects of the French economy in the upcoming months (state's reforms, EU's orientation, etc.).

2008.07.07 - Visit of the Art of Cartier
On July the 7th, the FKCCI organized with the support of Cartier an exclusive visit for its Members of the exhibition the Art of Cartier at the Deoksugung Palace's Museum. After the visit took place a cocktail on the Museum balcony.

TREMPLIN COREE

The visit to Korea of Mrs Anne-Marie Idrac, French Minister for Foreign Trade, from June 15th to June 17th 2008 was the first bilateral visit of a member of the French government in Seoul, since the election of President Lee Myung-Bak. The Minister for Foreign Trade went also with a delegation of 100 innovative and creative French Small and Medium Entreprises.
At this occasion, the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) and the Economic Mission of Seoul (French Embassy) organized personnalized matching meetings for each SMEs, seminars, conferences, networking events and a French Evening with a cocktail and a Gala Dinner.

The delegation arrived on June 15th, 2008. A briefing and reception cocktail were organized. Briefings were made by Mrs. Anne-Marie Idrac, Minister for Foreign Trade, M. Philippe Li, President of the FKCCI, M. Antoine Chéry, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the French Embassy, M. Philippe Reynieix, President of the French Foreign Trade Advisors in South Korea (CCEF), two testimonies of French SMEs established in South Korea, with M. Laurent Cupiti, President of Lobel Korea, and M. Vincent Frambot, Representative Director of Hydro Aluminium Automotive Structures Korea.

On June the 16th, the French SMEs began their personnalized mission (meetings with Korean companies), several conferences and seminars were also organized in parallel. At 06:00pm started a Cocktail "à la française", prepared by French Chefs, all gathered for the first time by FKCCI, from Le Cordon Bleu (Philippe Bachmann, Laurent Beltoise, Franck Colombie, Jean-Pierre Gestin), The Bistro of Novotel Ambassador Gangnam (Didier Reibel), Le Saint-Ex (Franck Lamache), Café de Chef of Sofitel Ambassador Hotel (Philipp Zurbuchen), Paris Croissant Café / Lenôtre Paris (Jérémy Juanchich, Lee Young Sun), Champagne Veuve Cliquot and Aperitif à la française (Sopexa).

After the Cocktail "à la française", the FKCCI organized a French Evening Gala Dinner, gathering more than 300 guests, supported by the Economic Mission of Seoul and the French Foreign Trade Advisors, and sponsored by Aircalin, Dongwon Wineplus, Evian, French Chefs from Le Cordon Bleu, The Bistro of Novotel Ambassador Gangnam, Le Saint-Ex, Café de Chef of Sofitel Ambassador Hotel, Paris Croissant Café / Lenôtre Paris, Champagne Veuve Clicquot, Aperitif à la française, and Sopexa Coree. The evening was warmed up by different events: Wine Breathing Demonstration, National "Jeunes Commis Rôtisseurs" contest in French Cuisine Awards, Grand Prix of CCEF for VIE 2008, and a lucky winner of an airflight ticket Seoul-Noumea offered by Aircalin.

On June the 17th, the FKCCI, the Economic Mission of Seoul and the French Foreign Trade Advisors, organized a breakfast "Business Match Meeting" gathering 150 guests. This breakfast was a great opportunity for the delegation of 100 SMEs to meet French and Korean experts of each sector in Korea: Human Resources, Finance and Risks, Pharmaceutical, IT, Logistic and Transports, Law, Communication and Press, Distribution, Banking, Industry, Food and Trade Fair, CNCCEF, and Services.

M. Lee Ick-Chan, Head of Global Marketing Team at ETRI and M. François Guibert, Corporate VP and CEO Asia Pacific of STMicroelectronics, highlighted  during this Luncheon Meeting the impact of electronics on daily life and global economy.

On April the 29th, the FKCCI had the great pleasure and honour to welcome His Excellency M. Cho Il-Hwan, Ambassador for Korea to France, and to hear about his vision and scheme to strengthen the relationships between korea and France in the future.

On April the 22nd, the FKCCI organized an event at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, to present the Executive Training Programme in Korea to journalists, companies and other European Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Korea.

This semestrial session intended to present the main business trends and forecast of Korea. The FKCCI also organized its Annual General Assembly to present an overview of the FKCCI's activities.

Mrs. Valerie Beyssage animated a working group on human resources and team coaching on March 4th at the FKCCI and a training session focusing on <do less, acheive more> on March 5th.

Ms. Park Eunyun, Chief consultant at LG Economic Research Institute explained how to create an environment to foster successfull innovation by identifying the words that kill innovation.

Working Group on the environment. M. Richard Kwiatek, Commercial Attaché of Economic Mission at French Embassy in Korea, made a general introduction to the environment in Korea.

2008.02.14 - Competitivity pole
The FKCCI Business Develoment Team received a French delegation of 40 specialized distributors' Managers from the "Retail Industries Cluster" for one week of meetings, visits, luncheon and dinners on new distribution technologies.

The FKCCI and M. Michel Roy, FKCCI Tresorer and General Manager of Calyon in Korea, invited Prof. Jean-Paul Betbeze, Chief Economist and Head of the Credit Agricole SA Economic Research Department for a meeting on the 2008 Financial Crisis.

2008.01.25 - Wine Tasting
In cooperation with the Lotte Hotel Seoul, the FKCCI organized a French Fooding Night at the Vine Restaurant and offered an unlimited standing buffet (cheese, oysters, etc.) and a Bordeaux Wine Tasting.

The FKCCI organized a luncheon on the Automotive industry. M. Hurtiger, CEO of Renault Samsung Motors, and M. Kim, Director of International cooperation team at Kama, analyzed the automotive industry and gave prospects for 2008.

The FKCCI had the pleasure to welcome Professor Chung Un-Chan from Seoul National University's School of Economics in Korea for a Luncheon. He gave his point of view on "Korea: In Search of a New Compact".

The FKCCI organized a Breakfast meeting held by CEA-LIST, represented by M. Jean-Pierre Friconneau and M. Yann Perot, and as ETRI, represented by M. Yu Won-Pil, to talk about Interactive Robotics Unit and Ubiquitous Robotic Companion.

2007.11.30 - Kaesong Complex
A visit of the Kaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea has been organized by Hyundai and the Kotra. More than 120 persons went by bus to this visit during one day. The FKCCI invited 40 Members for this business visit in North Korea.

2007.11.03 - Newcomers Seminar
The FKCCI organized this training program each year to help French newcomers in Korea to integrate their new position giving practical information about Korean economy and culture. Around 40 persons attended this seminar.

2007.10.29 - FKCCI/Koilaf Rountable with Essec
Breakfast co-organized by the FKCCI and the Koilaf, with the support of Essec French Business School celebrating its 100th anniversary. We welcomed Mr. Pierre Tapie, President of Essec and Mr. Jean-Luc Decornoy, Chairman of KPMG France and President of the Essec Alumni Association.

2007.10.23 - Business Trends and Prospects
For this 3rd session, M. Sylvain Remy, from Economic Mission, M. David Richardson, TNS ALM Regional Director, and M. Antoine Chery, Head of the French Embassy Economic Mission, presented the Korean Economy in 2007 and the prospects for 2008.

2007.10.22 - ETP Diploma
The graduation Ceremony of the Executive Training Programme in Korea-ETP4 has been held in the Sangnam Institute of Management at Yonsei University with all the Yonsei professors, the EU delegation and paricipants to the programme.

2007.10.17 - CDI Seminar
The FKCCI organized a seminar for the International Development Advisers (CDI) with working groups on the EU-Korea FTA and the French-Korean economics relations, and visits of companies like Lafarge and Anam-Legrand Show Room.

2007.10.15 - Cooperation FKCCI/CCIFJ
In order to establish a closer cooperation, the FKCCI and the CCIFJ signed a Cooperation Agreement. This agreement will develop the relation between the Chambers for prospections, informations and commun actions.
