From you country to Seoul

International flights

There are seven international airports in Korea.  The most important is the international airport of Incheon, located at 52 km in the west of Seoul.
The four others are located at Gimhae (close to Busan), Cheongju, Daegu and Jeju, they are only connected to Asian countries. Air France and Korean Air are the only companies providing direct flights between Paris and Seoul (11 H of flight).

From the airport to Seoul

Several solutions are offered to connect the airport of Incheon to Seoul.

Buses KAL (Korean Airlines)

A subway connecting Seoul to Incheon is in construction.
While waiting, the bus remains the best solution. Comfortable and economic, the buses for Seoul are leaving all 15 minutes. They are two kind of bus:
The limousine buses (price: 13 000 let us wons) and the airport buses (price 8 000 wons, information: www.airportlimousine.co.kr ).
You can get a ticket close to the bus stops, or at information points located at exits 2, 4, 8, 9 and 13.
Carefully check the site of your bus stop because there are many stops according to the destination.

Taxi

This solution is not very cheap. Count 50 000 to 100 000 wons. The passenger must pay the toll fees. It will take you 1 t0 1h30 to get at Seoul. Taxis are between doors 16 to 21 (level 1).

A service of pre-loading (recording of the luggage, passport control) is organized since the KCAT (Korea City Air Final) in the south of Seoul. Regular shuttles, every 5/10 minutes, arrive at the airport where a special passage makes it possible to be found directly in departure lounge. The shuttle is  convinient to go to the south of the city.

The congestion is a chronic problem in Seoul. At peak hours, the streets are often jammed, between 7h and 9h am, as well as the evening between 5h to 20pm. Sunday, it is advised to avoid the motorways which surround Seoul starting from the begining of the afternoon.
