Dear Members,

As you may have seen, May was a month full of activity for the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry: various events were organized such as a cocktail with French Students in Korea and executives of French-Korean companies, a luncheon meeting for the new FKCCI project "Branding France"  in the presence of His Excellency Philippe Thiebaud, Ambassador for France to Korea, and an exceptional night with the "Gypsy Moon" show at the Sheraton Hotel. The FKCCI also finalized its online portal "Innovation and New Technologies" (French version) and works actually on the Korean version. The Coree Affaires was also released beginning of May with a Cover Story on "Robot, Network, Internet...South Korea, the New Technologies country".

In June, from the 15th to the 30th, the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry is developing the bilateral trade between Korea and France through "Journee Pays" organized in France with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Libourne, Lille, Le Havre, Amiens, Paris, Marseille and Angoulême. A great opportunity to prepare the second semester with trade missions for French companies which are interested in Korea.

Regarding our next events, we invite you to join us for a special luncheon meeting at the Shilla Hotel on June 25th for the opening of the Seoul Luxury Business Institute with Dr. Jean-Noël Kapferer Professor of Marketing in HEC Paris Academic Director of the Luxury Executive Management Program in SLBI, who will present an overview of typical issues related to management of luxury businesses in Korea.

We also invite you, as a French-Korean related company in Korea, to show your interest and join our working group on the new FKCCI project "Branding France".

Truly yours,

Thérèse Cazentre
FKCCI Executive Director
