France-Korea Tech Summit 2026 Highlights Shared Priorities in AI and Green Innovation

Held during KES 2026, the Summit connected French and Korean decision-makers around two major business challenges: turning AI into economic value...

Artificial intelligence and the green transition are reshaping business competitiveness, creating a growing need for cooperation across industries and borders. The France-Korea Tech Summit 2026 brought these challenges into focus at COEX, Seoul, connecting public institutions, business leaders, and emerging technology companies from both countries.

Organized by the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in partnership with the Korea Electronics Association (KEA), the Summit explored how French and Korean expertise can contribute to the next phase of technological and industrial development.

I'd like to underline the fact that it is very relevant in my opinion to link both the AI revolution and the environmental one, Arthur Barichard, Director of the French Digital and AI Council of French Government.

For businesses, the challenge is moving from technological potential to practical deployment. AI adoption requires companies to rethink decision-making, develop skills, and identify applications that deliver measurable value. The green transition raises a parallel question: how can innovation improve industrial efficiency while addressing environmental demands? These questions provided the framework for exchanges involving the French Digital and AI Council of the French Government, KT SAT, Seoul AI Hub, Veolia Korea, GenesInk, and KEPCO.

The Summit highlighted opportunities at the intersection of digital transformation and sustainability. From advanced materials to energy systems and industrial inspection, the technologies presented illustrated how innovation can respond to specific business needs while supporting more efficient use of resources.

Eight French and Korean companies took part in the Pitch Contest. Their solutions connected the Summit’s strategic discussions with applications in manufacturing, security, automation, and mobility.

The Pitch Contest concluded with TiHive taking the top prize, followed by FUST Lab. in second place and Voltify in third, highlighting emerging talent across the French and Korean technology ecosystems.

The French Pavilion at KES extended these exchanges through technology demonstrations and business meetings, giving Korean companies opportunities to explore solutions developed by GenesInk, ID4US, Thélyos, TiHive, and Voltify.

In a year marking 140 years of diplomatic relations between France and Korea and the FKCCI’s 40th anniversary, the Summit placed technology cooperation at the center of a forward-looking bilateral business agenda.

“The relationship is also deeply technological. French technology is part of the Korea industrial and electronic systems, from semiconductor equipment and advanced material to mobility and energy systems”, Julien Herveau,  Vice-President of FKCCI / Mazars Korea, Country Lead Partner

The France-Korea Tech Summit 2026 is supported by companies and organizations committed to innovation and France-Korea collaboration, including JCDecaux, Asiance, Invest Seoul, Forvis Mazars, IT-Concept, and Veolia.
