FKCCI and Cosmetic Valley Sign a New Memorandum of Understanding in Paris
FKCCI and Cosmetic Valley renew their partnership to strengthen cooperation between the French and Korean cosmetics industries.
To mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea and the 40th anniversary of the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), FKCCI, represented by its Vice-President and Honorary Chairman, Philippe Li, attended COSMETIC 360, a leading international trade show dedicated to cosmetics innovation, organized annually at the Carrousel du Louvre by Cosmetic Valley.
On this occasion, FKCCI met with Marc-Antoine Jamet, Secretary General of LVMH and Chairman of Cosmetic Valley, and signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), further strengthening the longstanding ties between the two organizations.
A Longstanding Partnership
The signing builds on several years of cooperation, marked notably by an initial agreement signed in 2018 and a visit to Korea by a Global Cosmetics Cluster delegation in 2022.
Two Houses, One Shared Ambition
This new agreement comes at a particularly symbolic moment for both organizations. FKCCI has recently launched Maison France by FKCCI in Seoul, a new venue dedicated to business exchanges, networking, and the development of French and Korean companies. Meanwhile, Cosmetic Valley is pursuing a major project of its own: the future Maison de la Cosmétique in Chartres, expected to open in 2028.
Both initiatives, each on its own scale, reflect a shared ambition: to bring ecosystems together, build new connections between business stakeholders, and encourage innovation and international collaboration.
Against this backdrop, the renewed partnership between FKCCI and Cosmetic Valley opens up new opportunities to strengthen synergies between the French and Korean cosmetics industries.
A Symbolic Gift to Celebrate the 140/40 Anniversaries
The meeting also provided an opportunity for FKCCI to present Marc-Antoine Jamet and Cosmetic Valley with a copy of its commemorative book, produced to celebrate these two historic anniversaries.
Through this publication, which traces key milestones in French-Korean relations and highlights the people and organizations that have contributed to their development, FKCCI sought to share a testament to this common history and its commitment to strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
A New Milestone in French-Korean Cooperation
Beyond a formal renewal, this MOU reaffirms the shared commitment of Cosmetic Valley and FKCCI to further deepen their cooperation, bring the French and Korean cosmetics ecosystems closer together, and generate new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and investment.
