L’Atelier des Cahiers Celebrates 20 Years of Publishing on Korea

On October 20, L’Atelier des Cahiers celebrated its 20th anniversary at the French Embassy in Korea, bringing together authors, editors, translators, partners and friends. The gathering marked two decades of dedication to introducing Korea to French-speaking readers.

With around 100 books devoted to Korea, the publishing house continues a journey that began in 1998 with Cahiers de Corée. Led by Benjamin Joinau and Yves Millet, it carries forward the dream of their late friend Frédéric Boulesteix: to share their fascination with Korean culture and help readers better understand it.

Over the years, this project has grown through its founders’ commitment and collaborations with authors, translators and partners. At its heart are meaningful encounters, perseverance and a shared passion for books and cultural exchange.

The anniversary was an opportunity to thank everyone who has supported L’Atelier des Cahiers, especially its readers, and to look ahead to the next chapter of its contribution to cultural ties between France and Korea.ens.
