At a time when both France and Korea have adopted ambitious public policies for the energy transition, the establishment of an Energy Committee is particularly relevant to promoting bilateral exchanges and business relations in the field of green growth, monitoring developments in energy markets and regulations, organizing roundtable discussions on energy-related topics with the Franco-Korean business community, and participating in major events and expert conferences.

The committee is chaired by Guillaume Horn, President of Framatome Korea, and brings together a core group of major companies from the energy sector that meet on a quarterly basis.

The committee’s first meeting was held at the FKCCI on March 22, 2018. Members identified as a key priority the promotion of French expertise in energy efficiency and renewable energy among Korean authorities and private-sector stakeholders in Korea’s energy industry.
