The Innovation Committee, coordinated by Mr. Philippe LI, lawyer at Kim & Chang and Honorary Chairman of the FKCCI, welcomes companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large corporations, to discuss common topics and develop Franco-Korean projects focused on innovation and new technologies.

Both France and Korea stand out for their excellence and innovation. South Korea is known for developing strong local players that compete with major global tech companies such as GAFA (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon). France, meanwhile, is home to Station F in Paris, the world’s largest start-up campus.

Although French and Korean companies already collaborate and exchange expertise in the field of new technologies, there was previously no permanent working group between the two countries specifically dedicated to this field.

The creation of this committee aims to strengthen existing and future initiatives and cooperation between French and Korean institutions. The committee’s objectives are to:

• Develop cooperation and synergies between French and Korean companies and start-ups, as well as launch projects in French-speaking countries
• Share experiences, identify key drivers of innovation, and encourage the exchange of best practices between the two countries on topics such as next-generation networks, blockchain, AI, robotics, and IoT
• Support the development of start-ups by pooling resources and connecting them with potential investors
