FKCCI Bastille Day 2026 Illuminates Seoul with Fireworks & Celebration

The French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), in partnership with the Embassy of France in the Republic of Korea, successfully hosted Bastille Day 2026 this evening at Sebitseom Floating Island, welcoming more than 700 participants for one of the largest celebrations of the year.
Held against the spectacular backdrop of the Han River, this special edition carried particular significance as it celebrated both the 40th Anniversary of the FKCCI and 140 years of diplomatic relations between France and Korea. The event brought together business leaders, diplomats, entrepreneurs, executives, media representatives, and members of the French and Korean communities for an evening dedicated to culture, friendship, and exchange.
The celebration officially opened with remarks from David-Pierre Jalicon, Chairman of the FKCCI, and H.E. Philippe Bertoux, Ambassador of France to the Republic of Korea, who highlighted the strength of the relationship between France and Korea and the importance of continuing to build bridges between the two countries.
Hosted by renowned French-Korean television personality Ida Daussy, the evening offered guests an immersive experience combining gastronomy, entertainment, and networking. Throughout the venue, participants enjoyed a wide variety of food and beverage offerings while reconnecting with long-standing partners, discovering new business opportunities, and celebrating the vibrant ties between the French and Korean communities.
One of the most memorable highlights of the evening came as the Seoul skyline illuminated above the Han River during a spectacular fireworks display. Gathering outdoors to enjoy the show, participants shared a unique moment that perfectly captured the festive atmosphere of Bastille Day and symbolized the enduring friendship between France and Korea.
The event featured a highly anticipated Lucky Draw made possible through the generous support of partners.
