The FKCCI, in partnership with the Embassy of France in the Republic of Korea, hosted Bastille Day 2026 at Sebitseom Floating Island, welcoming more than 700 participants for one of the largest celebrations of the year. This special edition carried particular significance, marking both the 40th Anniversary of the FKCCI and 140 years of diplomatic relations between France and Korea, and closed with a spectacular fireworks display over the Han River symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two nations.

France made a strong impression at NextRise Seoul 2026, one of Asia's largest startup and innovation exhibitions, through the Team France Pavilion, bringing together French institutions, corporations and startups under a unified national presence. The Pavilion featured 17 French startups and companies showcasing solutions across AI, deeptech, quantum technologies and sustainability, alongside presentations exploring new opportunities for France-Korea cooperation in innovation and investment.

From June 17 to 20, the FKCCI participated in VivaTech 2026 in Paris, Europe's largest technology and startup event, bringing together more than 180,000 participants, 14,000 startups and 3,600 investors from around the world. As part of a joint initiative with KOREATECH, Hoseo University and CISTEP, the Korean Pavilion welcomed a delegation of innovative Korean startups showcasing solutions in artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, advanced materials and sustainability, connecting with investors and innovation stakeholders from across Europe.

As part of the 140th Anniversary of Korea-France Diplomatic Relations, Gunbae & Santé! brought guests together at Sebitseom Floating Island for a gastronomic evening pairing French pastry craftsmanship with Korean traditional dessert culture. The event featured a unique collaboration between French pastry chef Gilles Marchal and Korean Food Master Park Sunae, celebrating 140 years of friendship between France and Korea through desserts, traditional liquors and wine pairings.

The Seoul Food Festival brought together French and Korean food and beverage professionals, chefs, exhibitors and members of the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry around a celebration of French gastronomy and culinary craftsmanship. The event offered visitors the chance to discover French products, flavors and know-how while fostering new connections between French exhibitors and the Korean market. A gathering placed under the sign of taste, discovery and the promotion of French culinary excellence in Korea.

The event gave candidates the opportunity to connect directly with recruiters and explore the career prospects offered by the Franco-Korean business community. A dynamic event focused on networking, career guidance, and talent development.

This edition was marked by dialogue, innovation, and a shared vision for the future of Franco-Korean relations.
