FKCCI Joins ACRC Dialogue on Transparency and Business Challenges in Korea

On September 30, 2026, the FKCCI, represented by Vice-President Philippe Li, Vice-President & Honorary Chairman of the FKCCI, Chairman of KEY and Partner at Kim & Chang, participated in a roundtable organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) at the Press Club of the Korea Press Center in Seoul.
The meeting brought together foreign chambers of commerce to discuss Korea’s anti-corruption and integrity policies, including the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the practical challenges faced by foreign-invested companies operating in Korea.
Each chamber was given an opportunity to share feedback on issues affecting business activities, from burdensome administrative practices and complex procedures to difficulties arising from existing laws and regulations. The discussions covered a broad range of concerns, with the aim of protecting companies’ rights and interests and supporting a fair, transparent, and business-friendly environment.
The feedback gathered will help the ACRC identify areas where institutional or regulatory improvements may be needed. Where appropriate, the Commission may consult with relevant government authorities and recommend changes to existing systems.
Through its participation, the FKCCI contributed to ongoing dialogue between Korean institutions and the international business community, helping bring greater attention to the challenges encountered by companies in Korea.
