France–Korea Economic Forum
On the occasion of the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to South Korea, the The Federation of Korean Industries and MEDEF International organized on April 3rd, with the support of the Embassy of France in the Republic of Korea, Business France Korea, and the FKCCI, a France-Korea Economic Forum.
The event brought together business leaders, institutional representatives and key stakeholders through panel discussions to explore opportunities across strategic sectors including biotech, decarbonization and deeptech.
President Emmanuel Macron highlighted the ambition to build a strategic partnership with Korea grounded in innovation, trust, and a shared vision for the future. In the same spirit, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok emphasized the depth of the relationship between the two countries across all sectors, noting that in today’s uncertain global environment, further strengthening cooperation is more essential than ever.
On this occasion, Mr. David-Pierre Jalicon, Chairman of the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented to Emmanuel Macron the commemorative book edited by the FKCCI marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea, as well as the 40th anniversary of the Chamber.
The FKCCI was pleased to take part in this high-level gathering, reflecting the strength, dynamism and growing ambitions of the France–Korea economic relationship.
