French Tech Seoul Marks 10 Years of Innovation with High-Level France Korea Engagement

On April 2, La French Tech Seoul celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special evening gathering around 100 participants from across the France–Korea innovation ecosystem, including startups, corporates, investors and public institutions, reflecting a decade of growing collaboration between both countries.

Organized in partnership with the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), the Embassy of France in the Republic of Korea, Business France, the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE), and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), the event brought together high-level speakers including Bruno Bonnell, Secretary General for Investment in charge of France 2030, Julie Huguet, Director of La French Tech, Vice Minister Roh from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Louis Margueritte, CEO of Business France.

Discussions highlighted the increasing role of innovation and technology in France–Korea cooperation, with a shared focus on supporting startups, scaling innovation and strengthening cross-border partnerships in strategic sectors.

“Today, innovation between France and Korea is driven by concrete partnerships, where strong local integration is essential to scale, as demonstrated by projects like Exotec and CJ” stated Bruno Bonnell, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in driving innovation and long-term competitiveness.

A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony marked the 10th anniversary of French Tech Seoul, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Exotec and CJ, illustrating concrete business cooperation between French and Korean companies.

As a supporting partner, the FKCCI reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation-driven partnerships and strengthening the France–Korea business bridge.
