Plastic Omnium to step up in hydrogen storage systems in South Korea

On November 5, 2021, Plastic Omnium has confirmed an investment of 30 million Euro in South Korea for a plant that will produce hydrogen storage systems for automotive.

During the COP26 in Glasgow, KOTRA and Plastic Omnium have held an investment declaration ceremony in the presence of Mr. Yeo Han-Koo South Korea’s Minister of Trade.

At this time, Mr. Jang Sang-Hyun, KOTRA Invest Korea CEO, and Mr. Laurent Favre, Plastic Omnium CEO, have signed the investment declaration.

For this important event, Mrs. Felicie Burelle, Managing Director of Plastic Omnium GROUP, and Mr. Marc Perraudin, CEO of Plastic Omnium New Energies Division, attended the ceremony.

This signature is an important step for Plastic Omnium to develop its hydrogen business with the support of the South Korean Government.

Plastic Omnium is a major global player in new Hydrogen mobility and this investment is confirming its strategy towards sustainable mobility.
