[Tech4Good Summit 2021] Closing Ceremony Celebration with Alchera and Ingine Awarded as the Winners of Pitch Contest

Tech4Good Summit 2021 came to an end with fantastic speakers and participants from Korea, France and Beyond. 14 startups participated in the pitch.

On June 30, we celebrated the closing and awards ceremony of Tech4Good Summit 2021 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul! 

Co-organized by the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), and French Tech Community Seoul (FTCS),  the ceremony closed this year's great 3-days online edition on the theme "France, Korea, and beyond" which took place from May 10 to 12 to foster impact startups and their ecosystem's projects that make the world a better place in sectors such as Tech4Society (gender gap, education, health, inequalities,...) and Tech4Earth (climate change, transport, waste management, sustainability,...). More than 70 speakers, 45 startups, and 400 participants attended the summit: industry leaders and insiders from government agencies and associations as well as incubation, acceleration and academia.

 

50 VIPs including government officials from both Korea and France as well as pitch contest winners, major sponsors, partners, speakers and panelists, attended the closing ceremony on June 30, which awarded Alchera and Ingine as the winners of Pitch Contest in the categories "Tech4Society" and " Tech4Earth" respectively. Mr. Julien HERVEAU, Managing Partner at Mazars Sebit Korea, and sponsor of the Tech4Earth pitch contest could give the award to Ingine. Mr. Pascal Robin, General Manager at Sanofi Pasteur Korea and sponsor of the Tech4Society pitch contest could give the award to Mr. David CHOI, Business Development Vice President of Alchera. 

"It is a great honor to be selected as the winner Pitch Contest at Tech4Good Summit 2021,” said David CHOI Business Development Vice President of Alchera.  He continued that, “Alchera is a technology company aims to realize safer society using artificial intelligence. Alchera was selected as a wild fire detection service provider by the state of California in the United States in March 2021, which suffered the largest wild fire damage recently, so this award comes as a great recognition of our contribution to a safer society through technology.”

In the category ‘Tech4Earth’, Daehyun Kim, business director of Ingine said:

“I am delighted that Ingine has been awarded the best Tech4Earth startup at Tech4Good Summit 2021.This award comforts us in our mission to provide clean energy solutions as we have been developing a wave energy technology solution to replace polluting conventional energy sources, such as diesel generators in remote islands or coastal areas”.

14 pre-selected French and Korean startups participated in the Pitch Contest, which took place online for the duration of three days starting from May 10, 2021, and the winners were chosen after all the participants presented by a group of VIPs and industry leaders as well as co-organizers of this event. The jury was composed of high-level representatives of SK Telecom, Samsung SDS, Hyundai Motor, Sanofi Pasteur, Mazars, GS Holdings, Educapital, Eurazeo, Impact Collective, MYSC, Orange, Schoolab, Yellowdog, as well as FKCCI, FTCS, and Business France.

Sponsored by Mazars Korea and Sanofi Pasteur Korea, the winners will be given in 2021 an exclusive market entry support abroad with a cash prize worth 2.5 MKRW for a market exploration mission operated by Business France together with partners’ network in France (KOTRA, Paris Region Entreprise, Creative Valley). Exclusive support from FKCCI and FTCS network will also be provided, especially through a visibility package to support them in their communication actions.
