The FKCCI successfully hosted Bastille Day 2025
On Monday, July 14th, 2025, the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) successfully hosted its annual Bastille Day celebration at Gabit, Floating Island in Seoul. The event brought together approximately 750 attendees, including business leaders, institutional representatives, cultural figures, and members of the Franco-Korean community, highlighting the enduring strength of the bilateral relationship.
The evening began with opening remarks by Mr. David-Pierre JALICON, Chairman of the FKCCI, and H.E. Philippe BERTOUX, French Ambassador to Korea. Both extended their warm wishes for a memorable Bastille Day celebration.
With this hopeful and festive spirit, the evening unfolded into a vibrant celebration of French culture, conviviality, and Franco-Korean exchange. Guests were invited to indulge in a sumptuous French-style buffet, presented through curated F&B booths, offering delicacies such as cheese, caviar, champagne, fine wines, and cocktails, delivering an authentic taste of France in the heart of Seoul.
This culinary journey was enriched by a diverse lineup of live performances that brought energy and emotion to the evening. The French Cancan show by Team Garmonya enchanted the audience with its flair and festive spirit, while Monsieur KO moved attendees with his lyrical vocals. Throughout the night, busking artists dalm_eun, Sahae, Haemil, and Jeremy Amadei captivated guests with their soulful performances. Meanwhile, DJ Suhèr Chandi kept the energy high with an electrifying set that had the crowd dancing and fully immersed in the celebration.
Adding further excitement, the lucky draw emerged as one of the evening’s most anticipated moments. Guests had the chance to win over 124 prizes, including a business class round-trip ticket to Paris, luxury hotel stays, an iPad Air, and an official Paris Saint-Germain jersey signed by football star Lee Kang-In.
This unforgettable evening was made possible thanks to the generous support of FKCCI’s valued sponsors, including Accor Ambassador Korea, Air France, DPJ & Partners Architecture, JCDecaux Korea, L’Oréal Korea, Lotte Chilsung (Orangina & Evian), Pernod Ricard Korea, and Renault Korea, among other companies that continue to champion the deep and lasting ties between France and Korea.
As one of FKCCI’s flagship annual events, Bastille Day 2025 was more than a festive gathering, it was a tribute to shared values, cultural appreciation, and meaningful exchange between two nations.
