Air France celebrates its 40th anniversary on the Peninsula!

Did you know that Air France was the first French company to set foot in South Korea?

On June 14th, the group commemorated in style its 40th anniversary in Korea at a reception at the French Embassy, by inviting VIPs and top Flying Blue customers, presenting iconic uniforms and reinforcing the brand’s journey of elegance.

As a pioneer of the French-Korean business community and one of the founding members of the FKCCI, Air France had much to celebrate since it opened its first Paris-Seoul flight in 1983 on a Boing 747. It contributed largely to bilateral friendship by creating connections and setting an example to other companies, as the first European airline to serve South Korea with passenger traffic. And it is not slowing down: starting from June 26, 2023, the Seoul-Paris route will operate a daily flight.

Following congratulatory toasts by H.E. Philippe Lefort, French Ambassador to Korea, David-Pierre Jalicon, FKCCI chairman, and Boris Darceaux, GM of Air France KLM of Japan, Korea, and New Caledonia, a stunning showcase of flight attendants' outfit history reminded us of our long-lasting friendship.

Air France also runs a special promotion for its anniversary on its website until July 9th
