Air Liquide to Acquire DIG Airgas, Strengthening Its Leadership in South Korea
Air Liquide has signed a binding agreement with Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 2 to acquire DIG Airgas, a leading industrial gas company in South Korea, for an enterprise value of €2.85 billion (₩4.6 trillion).
Closing is expected in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. With more than 60 plants and 220 km of pipelines, DIG Airgas is a key supplier to major Korean industries including semiconductors, clean energy, mobility, and bio-pharma.
This acquisition marks a major milestone, reinforcing Air Liquide’s 30-year presence in Korea and its position in the world’s 4th largest industrial gas market.
By combining complementary strengths, Air Liquide reaffirms its long-term commitment to Korea’s innovation-driven economy and future energy transition.
