FKCCI at Osong Beauty Expo 2025, Bridging Korean Innovation and European Opportunities

As part of the Cosmetics & Beauty Expo, Osong Korea 2025, the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized two key initiatives on October 23 and 24 to support the internationalization of Korean beauty brands: a dedicated conference titled “France: Your Gateway to Europe” and an exclusive Buyers Meeting connecting Korean companies with leading French distributors.

The conference, held on October 23 at the OSCO Cheongju Osong Convention Center, gathered experts from France and Europe to share practical insights for Korean beauty brands aiming to enter the European market, with a focus on France as a strategic entry point.

In her opening remarks, Sonia Chaieb Kim, CEO of the FKCCI, and Fama Ndiye, CEO of Agaskin, introduced market trends, consumer expectations, and examples of successful collaboration between French and Korean companies in the cosmetics sector.

Aurore Bouteille, CEO of Kahng, then presented a step-by-step guide to CPNP registration and EU certification, providing concrete advice on compliance with European standards. Finally, Vincent Girard and Seowon Park, Patent Attorneys at Plasseraud IP, shared key strategies for brand protection and intellectual property management in Europe.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A and roundtable discussion, encouraging open dialogue between speakers and participants.

On the following day, October 24, the FKCCI hosted an exclusive Buyers Meeting at the same venue, bringing together French buyers and distributors — including Coree Sarl Galeries Lafayette, Dalious, Kahng, and K-Youty with a curated selection of Korean beauty brands.

The matchmaking event offered targeted one-on-one meetings, tailored to each participant’s sourcing needs, along with on-site interpretation to facilitate communication. This initiative aimed to create direct business opportunities and long-term partnerships between Korea’s dynamic beauty industry and French market players.

Through these two complementary initiatives, the FKCCI reaffirmed its mission to act as a bridge between Korean innovation and European markets, promoting sustainable partnerships and supporting Korean companies in their international growth.
