Opening the Year with Consumer Trend Forecasts 2026, Key Insights from Trend Korea 2026 at FKCCI Premises

On January 28, 2026, the FKCCI opened its event calendar with the Consumer Trend Forecasts 2026, welcoming around 60 participants to its offices in Seoul for the first event of the year, dedicated to understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping consumer trends.
Led by Dr. Alex YouHyun SUH, Senior Research Fellow at Seoul National University and co-author of Trend Korea 2026, the conference presented the main insights from the book. The publication explores how consumers adapt to a world where technology and human decision-making increasingly operate hand in hand.
During the session, Dr. SUH introduced and explained the key keywords of Trend Korea 2026, offering a clear framework to decode emerging consumer behaviors. These included Human-in-the-Loop decision-making, highlighting the continued importance of human judgment alongside AI systems, and Zero-Click expectations, reflecting consumers’ growing demand for seamless and frictionless experiences. The book also emphasizes self-directed readiness, illustrating a shift toward greater autonomy and control in an uncertain environment.
Framed by the concept of “Horse Power,” symbolizing agility and forward momentum, Trend Korea 2026 provides businesses and decision-makers with a forward-looking perspective on the trends shaping 2026.
Through events such as Consumer Trend Forecasts 2026, the FKCCI continues to support its members and the wider French–Korean business community by fostering dialogue, sharing strategic insights, and helping companies better anticipate market transformations.
