President Lee Jae-myung Hosts Meeting with Foreign-Invested Companies at Cheong Wa Dae

On January 28, President Lee Jae-myung hosted a high-level meeting with representatives of foreign-invested companies at the main building of Cheong Wa Dae, under the theme “Growth for All”.
Upon arrival, President Lee greeted participants before opening discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Korean government and foreign-invested enterprises operating in Korea. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue on the business environment, investment conditions, and the role of foreign companies in supporting sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
Among the participants, David-Pierre Jalicon, Chairman of the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), attended the meeting, representing the French business community in Korea and reaffirming the FKCCI’s role as a bridge between French companies and Korean institutions.
During the session, President Lee delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of foreign investment as a key driver of innovation, job creation, and long-term competitiveness for the Korean economy. Participants were invited to share their perspectives and raise questions directly, highlighting practical challenges and expectations regarding regulatory frameworks, market access, and future policy directions.
This meeting reflects the government’s continued commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and reinforcing partnerships with foreign-invested companies as part of Korea’s broader economic growth strategy.
