The FKCCI Paves the Way for 25 Korean Lifestyle Brands at Maison&Objet 2024

On September 5-9, 2024, the highly anticipated Maison&Objet trade show took place at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, providing a global platform for designers, creators, and businesses in the lifestyle and home decor industry. For the first time, the Seoul pavilion was a key highlight, shining a spotlight on 25 leading Korean companies thanks to the collaboration of the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) and the Seoul Design Foundation (SDF). This exciting new addition marked an important milestone for Korean enterprises entering the French and European markets.

Expanding French-Korean Business Partnerships

The French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) played a crucial role in supporting these Korean companies, showcasing its commitment to strengthening business ties between France and Korea. Traditionally focused on helping French companies navigate the Korean market, the FKCCI has, for the first time, extended its expertise to Korean enterprises seeking to expand their presence in France. This effort aims to create mutually beneficial opportunities that foster long-term partnerships across industries.

A Platform for Innovation and Craftsmanship

Located in Hall 2, the Seoul pavilion was strategically positioned to maximize exposure, offering visitors an impressive display of Korean innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship. The pavilion featured diverse categories such as home decor, lifestyle products, kitchenware, health and beauty, and fashion accessories. From modern interior design solutions to high-quality fashion items like bags and children’s clothing, the pavilion represented the very best of Korean design and craftsmanship.

A Unique Opportunity for Korean Brands

The FKCCI actively invited French distributors, importers, department stores, and media representatives to explore potential partnerships with the participating Korean brands. With a focus on high-quality, innovative products, this event offered a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between European buyers and Korean businesses. The Korean brands had the unique opportunity to engage directly with French and European partners in Paris, fostering discussions on potential future collaborations.

As the Maison&Objet 2024 event concluded, it became clear that this was just the beginning of exciting new business ventures between France and Korea. By facilitating these connections, the FKCCI has once again proven its dedication to fostering international trade relations and helping businesses thrive on a global scale.

With Korean innovation at the forefront and the Maison&Objet trade show providing the perfect platform, the future looks bright for French-Korean collaborations in design, lifestyle, and beyond.
